In Association With Magners Irish Cider

Pub Life is a photo exhibition that dips beneath the surface of Irish Pub culture. The exhibition provides an explicit glance into the faces of some of the most influential Irish publicans in Germany.

During our travels through Germany, we have visited more than 80 Irish pubs and met publicans from all walks of life. In a previous, half-forgotten life they were bankers, jockeys, project managers, carpenters or musicians. Some are scrapping by from day to day, while other have achieved great commercial success.Though, those individuals have made a great contribution to the look and feel of Irish pubs as we know them today.

Regardless of status, or number of pubs they might own this selection of portraits offers you a neutral look into the heart and soul of the pub, the publican who has dedicated his personal life to warm jewelled light, dark polished wood and to the low hum of conversation: PUB-LIFE.

Come with us down story lane to the O’Reilly’s Irish Pub in Frankfurt on December 2nd, 2019 and we will show you what we mean. Doors will open at 07:00 pm. We will showcase an elective mix of portraits, tell the story of the first Irish Pub in Germany and meet the Irish Ambassador to Germany H.E. Dr. Nicholas O’Brien. Live-music by the Ocelots from Ireland.
